Was it H.M. the Queen's chosen car, or was it in fact the car gifted to H.R.H. the Queen Mother by the Jaguar company?

My second Jag was a 1953 Mark 7....4 door Maroon...I loved it and it drove like a charm...paid $1000 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1972...sold it (regret) in 1975 for $2500...similar in lines with the 1959...I only put about 5000 miles on it, but when I drove it up to the Peace river Country in 1974, I swear everyone thought I was Royalty!

One of these wss up on bricks under a car port locally (Harrow UK) apparently the gearbox failed before 2 years from new, the dealers wanted a lot of money to fix it so owner said he would do it himself. 30 yrs later it was still up on bricks..sad waste! |
