Fabulous Car, great camera work. I still have a carbon fiber rear fender skirt/tire cover from the Bud Light Jaguar XJR, signed by Davy Jones, that was part of the salvaged debris after his contact with a barrier during practice for the 12 Hours of Sebring back in 1991 or 1992. The car was totaled. The two decades of IMSA prototypes was absolutely as good as it gets. Thanks for posting this footage.

first off the xjr-14 is by far the best imsa car ever built. i first saw it in 92 and it sounded so amazing rounding the first turn at watkinks glen and the distinct exhaust sound it made will always be remembered.

Pitrow66- I'm guessing/hoping that you have footage of the Jag from 1989 that had a v12 in it? That engine sounded so unique. I can't find any footage. I'm looking forward to you posting it if you have it.
Brilliant, brilliant, footage too by the way. Thanks for posting.

I think it's remarkable that "F1 cars with fenders" like the XJR-14 were able to be competitive with cars like the Eagle-Toyotas And NPTI Nissans, especially considering the horsepower difference(650 HP for the Jag, ABOUT 1000 HP for the Eagles and Nissans!!!). Even then, the XJR-14 proved how much a difference downforce can have on a car's lap times. Too bad that the suspension was'nt able to cope with bumpy circuts like Sebring or street circuts, otherwise the XJR-14 would've been MUCH faster!

Nice man.

The XJR 14 had so much downforce, it was able to keep up with the 1992 F1 cars, only ones it couldnt keep upto were the williams and the mclaren besides that they were on par with the reast of the field!!
