Sorry to say this, a good a car the ls430, it's nowhere near as smooth as the XJ's air suspension. I can say this as I have driven both. I do actually now drive a 2007 XJ.

The XJ is such a pretty car, a timeless classic, but yet it has some modern touches, the perfect blend.

I'm sure its smoother than a BMW too, if what you are looking for is a dead smooth non sporting car that you can go "fast" in then the LS 430 is great. I would say though the Jag is a classic and will out handle the LS.

Ian Callum has stated that oval grill is going to be used in all future Jaguar coupes/sportcars, but rectangular CXF style grill is going to be the defining feature of future Jaguar saloon cars and their derivatives. And additionaly in my opinion rectangular grill suits sedans better than oval one...

Sorry guys but i once drove a customer from Connecticut to New York, and i drive 04 lexus ls 430 and this guy had this car parked in his driveway and he said that mine was smoother then the Jag.
